First published in 1973, this is a classic of the women's movement of the 1960's and 1970's. Includes many exercises that draw on massage and meditation, from a feminist perspective, designed to help women achieve physical and mental self-awareness.

Anne Kent Rush is a writer, publisher, editor, teacher, body therapist, commercial designer & marketing manager.

Rush has published many magazine articles, 17 books, and has designed & illustrated dozens books for clients. Two of her illustration best-know titles are THE TASSAJARA BREAD BOOK and THE MASSAGE BOOK.

Rush co-founded Esalen Institute Women’s Studies Dept. in Big Sur plus Alyssum Women’s Therapy Center in San Francisco.
