Kate has been an integral family member in my life for the past 8+ years. We have lived 8 mins apart, 2 hours away, across the country from eachother and also together for weeks at a time and have shared countless meals, holidays and laughs. AND she will always be my ultimate running partner! (though i haven’t run in years since I moved up north away from her 🥲) She and I have schemed on shop projects, business affairs, home decor, fashion and art and will always have a soft spot for each others laarb and ginger noodles respectively.
When asked to make a contribution to the rock show, Kate enthusiastically agreed and we were both excited at her carving a new object to add to her sculptural portfolio. This hefty solid bronze rock-esque object functions as both a votive candle holder and has a small hole discreetly placed to double as an incense holder/catch, depending on the atmospheric need. Each object Kate creates is worthy of being called an instant heirloom, and this piece is no different.
